Registration Instructions: 2018 Fall Football
Below, you will find the entire list of steps necessary for each student-athlete to complete, prior to August 6th in order to participate in 2018 Fall Football at Prairie View High School. Follow each step exactly to avoid any delays in play/participation:
Step #1: Complete Our Incoming ThunderHawks Inventory (Completed in February-April)
We are very interested to hearing from you about your son and his interest in playing football in 2018. We collect information from all interested student-athletes and their families. Once complete, we will make sure you are in the communication loop for all things ThunderHawks Football. You can find the Inventory here - Click Here -.
Step #2: PAY SUMMER FEES (Ideally Completed in May)
The Summer Fees fees for 2018 are $150. This fee includes the costs associated with Football Camp ($70), Summer Weight Room Fee ($60), and Team Dinner Fee ($20). Summer Fees are due no later than May 29, 2018, and are separate from Athletic Participation Fees normally due in August. All eligible Free/Reduced families have reduced fees ($80 for Summer Fees).
Additionally, 2018 Football Players must complete both fundraisers, 2) Email Campaign, and 2) Varsity Gold Cards, both completed during August/September.
Step #4: GET PHYSICAL & TURN IN THE DOCUMENTATION (Ideally Completed in June)
There are many different ways to get your phyiscal, one of which is at PVHS in August (although the lines can be long). Once you have your physical, you must turn it into the Athletic Secretary in the main office at PVHS.
Step #2: ATTEND FOOTBALL PARENT NIGHT IN MAY (Completed in May)
2018 Football Parent Night will be in May at PVHS. Any parent of student-athlete planning to play in 2018 is required to attend.
Step #5: SIGN UP on Family ID (Will Be Available in July)
Register online through Family ID. Link will be released around July 1st.
There is no paper. This is the only way to register for a sport (...it works perfect on a cell phone too, btw). Note that coaches will not take any physicals. The Athletic Secretary, in the main office, needs to see each kid to clear your son for participation in August.
IF, on August 6th, if they are not on the cleared list, we will SEND THEM HOME! They can NOT "watch or run on their own....."
For those cleared on August 6, the Athletic Secretary will send your son with a 8x11 piece of white paper that shows they are approved. If an athlete says they are clear, but not on my list, they will be sent back to the athletic office. If it is closed, they will be sent home.
*** Allow one business day for your athletic fee to be added to Infinite Campus. Then you must pay all past due school fees and the athletic fee before you can be cleared for try outs. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch please be sure you apply now to be eligible for reduced fees.
Step #6: PARENT AND STUDENT-ATHLETE SIGN PLAYER CONTRACT (Ideally Completed in August)
2018 Football Players, and their Parents, must sign the Player Contract. The Player Contract outlines the discipline policy, playing time policy, attendance policy, safety policy, and other key policies that govern our football team.
